When I was young, my parents would take my sister and me around the block and to nearby neighborhoods to see the homes decorated with beautiful Christmas lights. Each home was unique and colorful. Over time, fewer and fewer families decorated their home with even the simplest lights to the point that my parents stopped taking us. Now, it’s rare to find neighborhoods with grand light displays. It’s sad really. Even today, finding a home with Christmas lights is hard to come by.
In effort to feed our desire to see Christmas lights, my husband recently took me to the Green Bay Botanical Gardens to see the popular lights display. It’s a must see! Those who visit the gardens can grab a hot coffee or cocoa and pastries and enjoy a brisk walk or a wagon ride guided by two beautiful horses. The Botanical Gardens attracts many people each night whom are happy to pay $9.00 to take a 15 minute walk to see some lights.
Needless to say, getting into the Christmas spirit requires a little more than a beautiful tree in the living room, jammed packed malls, hot cocoa and cheery music. Christmas is a beautiful display of love, color and joy. Thank goodness we have some families who refuse to dial back on Christmas cheer. These families have made a grand effort in sharing the Christmas spirit with light displays that are not only beautiful, but entertaining.
I hope you enjoy each video and please make sure you share these videos with friends and family to spread the holiday cheer. Leave a comment to thank these families for their creative and amazing light displays.

The first light display is shared by the Storm family in Austin, Texas. This family spared a small expense using LED lights to entertain us with an unforgettable display. So, turn up the volume and enjoy the show.
Ultimate Christmas mix in El Paso, Texas
Wow! This family takes you on an adventure with a great Christmas soundtrack and creative light display. In fact, they are the winners of the ABC’s Great Christmas Light Fight of 2014. If you’re looking for a house to get you in the holiday spirit, here it is.
California Neighborhood Winter Wonderland
This is a fantastic display of neighborhood holiday spirit. This video was recorded by a drone to capture the full view of the street and is brought to us by Jukin Video. It’s rare to see a display such as this and would be great to see more neighborhoods working together to share the Christmas spirit.
The Dark Side Lights up the Sky
I am a Star Wars fan which is why this house may be my favorite. This house was featured on ABC’s Great Christmas Light Fight of 2014 and Good Morning America.
One last Video from Disney
I am a fan of all things Disney. With that said, I am among the masses when I say that I love Frozen. When I came across this video from Walt Disney World I had to add it to my list of notable Christmas light displays. Enjoy!
